INCENTIVE POINTS PROGRAM
For 2019 (December 18 thru November 19)
FUNCTION
Sign up and work on the FESTIVAL COMMITTEE. You MUST be a Committee head or assistant. You must be the Primary or significant other member. You must attend at least ½ of the pre-Festival meetings and be present during the Festival for at least ½ of the total hours the Festival is open. Partners will receive ½ of the points value. POINTS = 100
SIGN up and WORK AT the Festival to/and SELL TICKETS or ANNOUNCE If your Partner sells tickets or announces, a bonus equal to ½ of the points will be awarded to that person. (30) You can only receive points for one occurrence only. POINTS = 60
PRESENT A CLINIC AT THE MARCH FESTIVAL POINTS = 60
ATTEND regular MONTHLY Hostler meetings. If your Partner member attends with you, that person will receive ½ of the points value. (15) POINTS = 30
Bring a NON MEMBER to a meeting who within 90 days JOINS the club. Points will be awarded when prospective member joins the club. POINTS = 50
Help with the PICNIC. Cook, Door Prizes, Clean up, Arrange for refreshments and or supplies, hand out tickets, take tickets, sun shade help etc. Partners will receive ½ of the points value. (5) POINTS = 10
WORK on the CHRISTMAS PARTY COMMITTEE. This includes those who help at the door plus giving out gifts, help with the raffle, etc. If your Partner helps, they will receive a bonus equal to ½ of the points value. (20) POINTS = 40
ONLY ATTEND CHRISTMAS PARTY. Points awarded to LAST NAME of Primary club member only. POINTS = 10
HOST a CLUB MEETING. Includes bringing the refreshments, serving them, and cleaning up afterwards. Partner will receive ½ of the points value or 10 points. POINTS = 20
RUN FOR A CLUB OFFICE POSITION. Your name, Primary or Partner must be on the official ballot. Write-in’s do not count. POINTS = 80
PRESENT A CLINIC at a regular Club meeting. POINTS = 50
OWN & HAVE a module(s) in a *LOCAL module show. Owner MUST be PRESENT for
BOTH SET up & TEAR down. POINTS = 75
OWN & HAVE a module(s) in an **out-of-town show.(Other than above). Owner MUST be PRESENT for BOTH SET UP & TEAR DOWN. POINTS = 125
A DEDICATED PERSON to set up and tear down a club owned module at a local or out-of- town show shall receive ½ of the point’s value for that show. POINTS = 37.5 or 62.5
HOST an OPEN HOUSE for a layout tour during a scheduled Hostler home layout tour. Must be your own home layout. Must conform to the hours of all the other layout in the tour that day. Must return the sign-in sheet and Hostler Event signs within a reasonable time POINTS = 50
VISIT LAYOUTS in HOME LAYOUT TOUR(s). Must sign in on a guest register at each home visited. Partner Members will receive 10 points. Other family members signed in will receive 5 points per home. Guest/Non-Members signed in will receive 5 points value. Points value is for each home visited. Adult member POINTS = 10
New for 2016 & 2017
REGISTERED SELLERS at the Swap meet receive POINTS = 20
SHIFT WORKERS DURING THE CHRISTMAS NEWGATE MALL SET-UP will receive 5 points per shift worked. Those worked in November will be credited during the NEXT season. Failure to show up for a assigned shift results in a negative 5 points. POINTS per Shift = 5.
Hostler Club Officers are not eligible to participate in the points program. However, their points will be calculated during the points program year just for the fun of it. This includes all eight positions of the BOT.
If a Hostler club officer ends his/her term during the points season, points accumulated during that time cannot be used toward the total points for that person.. Members that become new club officer’s on January 1st, are no longer eligible to win but they will still accumulate their points. Members who were club officers and were voted out of office December 31st, may retain the points earned for attending or working the Christmas party.
The Points program begins the First of December and ends the last of November. Awards will be given out at a club meeting in January or February.
For a couple to win, each partner MUST accumulate SOME points. A couple cannot win if one or the other has 0 points.
*Current LOCAL Module shows include the Hostler Festival, NMRA show in SLC.
** Current out-of-town shows include; Evanston, Cheyenne, Idaho Falls, and Thanksgiving Point. (Others may be voted in as necessary).
The AWAY module help category was deleted as it was too hard to keep track of.
