Hostlers Photo Contest Rules and application for 2017
 1. All photos must be Railroad related.
2. Photos must be the work of the person entering the Contest.
3. Photos will be no larger than 8”X12” with a frame size no larger than 11"X14" . It is recommended that 8”X12”, 8”X10” and
7”X10” photos be matted and mounted in an 11"X14" frame. The photo should be framed with a wire on the back for hanging. If is
not framed or can not be hung on a hook, it will be disqualified.
4. You can enter any photo as long it has not been in any other Hostler Photo Contest.
5. Unlimited computer editing is allowed only in the Model Railroading and Railroading categories. Minimal computer editing --
brightness, contrast, color correction, etc. -- will be allowed in all the other categories.
6. You will be limited to 1 Entry per Category. Only one entry form per entrant is needed.
7. Categories;
A- Steam Locomotives (prototype only)
B- Internal Combustion/Electric Locomotives/Motorcars (prototype only)
C- Structures (prototype only)
D- Rolling Stock, Maintenance of way, caboose (prototype only)
E- ACTION --- Model or prototype, as long as the photo displays action using stop action, blurring or other means..
F- Railroading (anything that will not fit in any other category) (model or prototype )
G- Railroading People (prototype only)
H- Model Railroading Photos (model railroad only )
8. Photos Must Be Entered Between the Hours of 3 :00 PM To 6:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 and 8:00 AM To 12:00 Noon on
Saturday, March 4, 2017.
9. Judging will be, by spectators, from 10:15 A.M. on Saturday March 4, 2017 until 12:15 P.M. on Sunday March 5, 2017.
10. Photos Must Be Displayed Until 2:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2017, after which time they may be picked up.
11. Liability Release: Even though the Hostler Model Railroad Club has taken every step to ensure the safety of your Photo, The
Club and its members make no warranty or representation, either expressed or written to the loss or safety of your Photo. The
photographer in entering this contest will assume the entire risk as to the loss and safety of his or her Photos. In no event will the
club or any of its members be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential lost or damage to the Photos. Any Photo not
picked up by 4:00 P.M. Sunday March 5, 2017 will be disposed of.
